Privacy Policy
Last updated: 23 August 2026 · Applies to: 2048 Nova, all versions
2048 Nova collects no data. No account, no analytics, no advertising, no crash reporting, no identifiers. The app makes no network requests at all — it behaves identically with the device in airplane mode.
1. Data collected by this app
None. There is no category of personal data, device data or usage data that 2048 Nova collects, transmits, sells or shares. There is no server to send it to.
This corresponds to "Data Not Collected" in Apple's App Privacy disclosure and to "No data collected" and "No data shared" in Google Play's Data safety section.
2. Data stored on your device
The game saves the following to its own private storage on your device, so that it can work:
- the board you are currently playing, so you can resume;
- scores and best scores, per board size;
- your last 300 finished games, with score, highest tile, move count and duration;
- lifetime statistics and unlocked achievements;
- your settings: theme, board size, sound, haptics, animation speed.
None of this leaves the device. It is not linked to you, to an account, or to any identifier. We cannot see it, and no third party can either.
3. Deleting it
Open Settings → Data → Reset all progress inside the game to erase everything without uninstalling, or Settings → Data → Clear game history to remove only the history. Deleting the app removes all of it permanently. Because the data never reaches us, there is nothing for us to delete on your behalf and no deletion request to submit.
4. Permissions
2048 Nova requests no runtime permissions — nothing that Android or iOS would ever prompt you to allow. It cannot access the camera, microphone, location, contacts, photos, files, calendar or Bluetooth.
The Android build declares only two ordinary permissions, both granted automatically and
neither capable of reading anything about you: VIBRATE, for the haptic feedback
on each move, and WAKE_LOCK, for the optional "keep screen awake" setting. It
does not declare INTERNET, so the app
is incapable of making a network request — you can verify that yourself by inspecting
the APK manifest.
5. Third-party services and SDKs
The app bundles no third-party SDK that collects data. Its dependencies — React Native, Expo modules, Hermes, Reanimated — are libraries that run locally and have no telemetry enabled in this build.
Where you obtained the app matters separately: the Apple App Store and Google Play each collect their own data about downloads and accounts, under Apple's and Google's privacy policies. We receive only aggregate download and sales figures from them, which do not identify anyone.
6. Children
The game is rated suitable for all ages, contains no user-generated content, no chat, no advertising and no purchases, and collects no data from anyone — including children under 13 (COPPA) and under 16 (GDPR).
7. Backups
If you back up your device to iCloud, Google or a computer, the app's local data may be included in that backup, handled by the backup provider under its own terms. We have no access to it.
8. Changes
If a future version of 2048 Nova ever collects anything, this page will be updated before that version ships, the change will be listed in the release notes, and the store listings will be updated to match.
