Installing an APK
Android blocks installs from outside the Play Store until you allow it, once, for the app doing the installing. It is the same prompt every direct download triggers.
- Tap Download APK above.
- Open the file from your notification shade or the Downloads app.
- Android will ask to allow installs from this source — allow it, then confirm the install.
- Play Protect may warn that the app is not commonly downloaded yet. Choose Install anyway.
Verify what you installed. Compare the SHA-256 above with the file you
downloaded — on macOS or Linux run shasum -a 256 2048-Nova-1.1.3.apk, on Windows
certutil -hashfile 2048-Nova-1.1.3.apk SHA256. If it does not match, do not install it.
Updating later
When a new version lands here, download it and install over the top — your scores, history and awards stay where they are. Once the game is on Google Play, the Play build is signed by Google and cannot be installed over this one; you would have to uninstall first, which erases local progress.
